Elevating corporate branding to meet the modern workforce.

Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB) [→] protects over 395,000 workers and 20,000 employers across the province. Since 2024, they have made transformative changes to elevate their brand. New leadership focused on transparency and service excellence, updated visual branding, and a new user-friendly website are key changes that have modernized their communications, as well as elevated their public image.

As an integrated design partner, we work closely with their communications and marketing team. Our partnership focuses on clarity of messaging and consistency of execution. By equipping their team with visual and accessibility standards, customizable digital templates, such as interface dashboards, e-newsletters, digital signage and ad templates, we are ensuring a unified accessible user-experience across all touchpoints.

WCB has its eyes on the future.

As a growing organization expanding its services, recruiting top talent is important. Creating communication strategies to attract the right people starts with well-designed marketing materials. We designed print, web, social, and environmental assets to speak directly to the next generation of employees that align with WCB’s vision for the future of workplace safety, prevention, and injury support.

Designing with data to bring clarity and peace of mind.

To connect with working Nova Scotians, WCB uses real-world data to measure success and share insights about workplace safety and recovery across the province. By taking often dense numbers and visualizing them into clear, accessible stories, they identify emerging trends, celebrate milestones, and tackle safety challenges head-on. By replacing raw figures with engaging visuals, they ensure workers and employers understand the claims process, bringing clarity to next steps, and reassurance throughout the recovery journey.

WCB practices a unified voice across all media.

To support this period of growth, WCB leverages its diverse audience to deliver sector-specific messaging through print, web, social, and environmental media to engage both workers and employers. Consistent visual execution helps align internal operations, recruit top talent, and maintain a unified voice across all touchpoints.

Promoting workplace safety through targeted events.

As provincial leaders in workplace safety, WCB and its partners launch targeted events that promote safety for both workers and employers, highlighting workplace safety policy and return-to-work support services.

For events like Leadership in Focus, we branded the conference under the WCB visual identity and used an integrated marketing approach to cover all user touchpoints. From designing digital advertising campaigns and websites — to developing signage, swag, and educational collateral — we provided a comprehensive suite of deliverables that consistently covered the user experience before, during, and after the event.
